Has God saved all?

There are churches that preach that God has saved everyone already so that no one is going to Hell when they die.

It is true that when Jesus died on the Cross it was to atone for our sins and those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1 But each individual person must be drawn by God to believe in Jesus Christ or that salvation which Jesus purchased for them will go unclaimed.

You have heard the story about someone winning a million dollars right? They won the lottery but did not realise that they had won. The money went unclaimed. Though the provision was there they failed to claim what was there for them.

Jesus said if I be lifted up–he was speaking of His crucifixion – I will draw all to Myself. John 12:32

Yet even though Jesus will draw or literally drag(Gr.helkuo)all people, each person must still choose to yield to Him at some point.

No….not all are saved. In fact most are lost.

This is why Paul said

Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, WHO BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS!”

You see, God has made full provision for the salvation of every single human being ever born into this world but they must believe in Jesus Christ to obtain it. Thus we as His body and His mouth and His heart are to preach the Good News of salvation in Jesus to them so that they may believe.

God desires all men to be saved…If all are already saved then why still desire it? Hey God don’t you know that everyone is saved already?! And if everyone is saved already how come the fruit of such salvation is not anywhere to be seen in their lives? No people…the message is still the same…REPENT and BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!

Act 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
Act 2:38  Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:39  For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

and again…

Act 3:19  Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

and again…

Act 26:20  Paul… declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

We can see from these few verses that without repentance and faith in Jesus there is no conversion of the heart. Without the heart being converted–born again–made new–there will be no true change in the person and they remain lost and outside the kingdom of God.

The lost people of this world need to hear the Good News that Jesus died for them so that their sins could be blotted out and washed away. They need to know that God has forgiven them their sins so that they may receive this Jesus who died for them and rose again so that they may know the Father.

Go and tell someone today.
